The University of Illinois Bands has a long lasting tradition of excellence and its basketball pep band is no exception. The University of Illinois Basketball Band performs at all of the Illinois home basketball games for both the men's and the women's teams. The band is divided into "A" , "B" , and "C" bands and each consists of 47 wind players, 2 drummers, 1 guitar player, 1 bass guitar player, and 1 keyboard player.

[Update: 10/5/2006]: New member auditions for the 2006-2007 season have been announced.

Rhythm section auditions will be held Monday, Oct. 16 from 4-6 pm.
Wind section auditions for Basketall band will be Thursday, Oct. 12 7-9pm, Friday, Oct. 13 6-8 pm and Monday, Oct. 16 4-6 pm.
Sign up sheets are posted in the Band Building, and audition music is available for practice. Everyone new to basketball band must audition.
